Jennifer Barrett


Jennifer Barrett joined Avery Dooley & Noone, LLP in May of 2013 as a law clerk, and began working as an associate in November 2015.  As an Associate, Ms. Barrett focuses her practice primarily on the representation of federal and state employees in employment matters and insurance defense litigation.

Ms. Barrett handles employment matters such as, security clearance investigations and revocations, agency and congressional investigations, Office of Special Counsel investigations, disciplinary actions, whistleblower matters, and discrimination claims.  She has represented employees in cases before the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

In 2012, Ms. Barrett received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.  She graduated from Suffolk University Law School with a Juris Doctor Degree in 2015.  While attending law school, Ms. Barrett was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board/Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy, and during her final year, she served as a Lead Articles Editor. Throughout law school, Ms. Barrett worked as a law clerk at Avery Dooley & Noone, LLP.

Ms. Barrett is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  She currently resides in Belmont with her husband, Jon, and dog, Chappy.
