Robin S. Wink

Of Counsel

Robin S. Wink joined Avery, Dooley & Noone in 2006 as Of Counsel after a lengthy career of government service. Ms. Wink focuses her practice in the areas of federal employment law, agency appeals, and discrimination and whistleblower complaints.

Ms. Wink’s practice focuses on federal employment law representing federal employees and federal managers in personnel matters, in agency disciplinary proceedings, and in litigation. She has assisted her clients in successfully defending disciplinary actions ranging from letters of reprimand to removal and in presenting discrimination complaints in the Federal Sector EEO complaint process. She has represented clients throughout agency investigations, responses to Agency discipline, in Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) appeals, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) hearings. Ms. Wink has also prepared clients for investigations by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Inspector General (OIG) and represented clients in appearances before Congressional Committees.

In addition to her practice as a trial attorney, Ms. Wink has over 20 years’ experience in management and legal representation and brings expertise in both areas to public speaking and executive education programs which focus on the legal obligations of Federal Government employees, supervisors, and managers. She is a frequent lecturer at the Brookings Institution and has taught seminars at various federal agencies throughout the country. Ms. Wink is the owner and lead instructor for Rudman Wink Associates, LLC, a company focused on training for Federal government employees, supervisors, managers and executives.

During her government career, Ms. Wink served as Assistant Chief Counsel, Administrative Litigation for the Transportation Security Administration and an Attorney Advisor with the Executive Office for United States Attorneys in the Department of Justice. Ms. Wink also served on active duty and in the reserves in the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate General and an Air Traffic Control Officer. In 2006 she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Ms. Wink is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America. She is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Wink lives in the Washington D. C. area.
