Danielle Marie Gifford joined Avery Dooley & Noone in October of 2010. As an Associate, she focuses her practice primarily on the representation of federal and state employees in employment matters and on the formation of new business entities. Ms. Gifford handles employment matters such as:
- Agency and congressional investigations
- Office of Special Counsel investigations
- Security clearance investigations and revocations
- Disciplinary actions
- Whistleblower matters
- Discrimination claims
She has represented employees in cases before the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Ms. Gifford also has experience in the formation of non-profit, charitable organizations, business transactions, real estate transactions, and probate matters.
While attending law school, Ms. Gifford became a Certified Mediator in Maryland as a Student Attorney in the Mediation Clinic. She also participated as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Health Care Law & Policy and was elected class representative for the Student Bar Association. During law school, Mr. Gifford further served as a Clinical Trials Office intern for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and as an intern for the Quincy District Court. She is a native of South Weymouth, MA, where she currently resides, and is fluent in Spanish.
