Avery, Dooley & Noone attorneys Joseph Noone and Robert Fedder have successfully litigated a multimillion-dollar property damage claim on behalf of EMC Corporation. The claim was filed to recover significant damage suffered by one of the firm’s corporate clients.
Technology company EMC sustained significant water damage to its Charlotte, North Carolina office when a commercial sprinkler system failed and emptied a substantial amount of water into EMC’s office space. Avery Dooley & Noone brought suit in North Carolina on behalf of EMC against several parties, alleging negligence in failing to properly inspect, test and maintain the building sprinkler components and the building’s fire alarm system. The matter was successfully resolved prior to trial.
